History

The Beginning

Distribute.IT Pty Limited was founded on 9 July 2002. At the time of incorporation, Distribute.IT was solely focused on reselling domain name registrations. Subsequently, Distribute.IT has focused on improving its position in the domain name industry with Registrar accreditations from the governing bodies for domain names around the world, including .au, .nz, .uk and the major accreditation from ICANN, covering the top level domains including .com, .net and .org. Registrar Accreditation places Distribute.IT at the highest possible level in the industry worldwide and part of a very select group of successful companies. It has also focused heavily on developing a broad datacentre network, associated services & support for resellers across both the online and voice/mobile/content markets.

The Directors bring over 25 years of collective IT and internet industry experience, with a long history in wholesale distribution across a range of hardware, software, internet and services. It is this expertise in developing a strong, successful, network of resellers that sets Distribute.IT apart from its peers in the online market. With a commitment to the channel, Distribute.IT is the culmination of all the experiences the Directors have acquired in early and maturing technology markets.

Scalable Technology

Distribute.IT has, over the past 7 years, developed a proprietary and scalable technology platform and now delivers a range of products and services including a broad range of web hosting, colocation, data, dedicated servers, email, managed backups and disaster recovery solutions, along with web security and domain name solutions. On the mobile communications side, our platform provides global messaging solutions, including SMS, MMS, Premium SMS, along with programming and development support around all of our communications services.

Organic Growth & Acquisitions

Since inception, Distribute.IT has continued to grow organically and by acquisition, completing several strategic acquisitions in the past few years. These acquisitions, along with our technical development programs have enabled us to develop expertise not just in delivery of our products, but also providing broad advice and support to our clients for these services. Since early 2008, Distribute.IT's role with clients has evolved to now providing many key partners not only in connectivity, but also outsourced support services, programming and development assistance, and consultancy.
